Personal Data

1st Weston Green Scout Group will use any personal data you provide solely for the purpose of making any necessary arrangements to collect your tree, and reminding you of the collection date. We may also contact you as a former customers to let you know about next year's collection.

Collection

It is your responsibility to ensure that the tree is prepared for collection.  Please remove all decorations, lights, pots, stands, etc..  You must also leave the tree outside your house, but within your property on the collection weekend.  The tree should be in an easy to find location. If we cannot find your tree when we arrive to collect it, we may be unable to come back later.

1st Weston Green Scout Group will make all possible efforts to ensure that there is no damage to property during the collection service, but customers use this service at their own risk.

Refunds and Cancellations

Once you have booked and paid for a collection, it is difficult for us to issue a refund. If you no longer have a tree for collection, please let us know, but also please consider letting us retain your payment as a donation to the scout group.  If you believe you have extenuating circumstances which warrant a refund please get in touch with us.

 

Circumstances Beyond our Control

In the event of hazardous weather (e.g. snow and ice, severe gales, or thick fog) on the collection weekend, we may need to delay collection to a later date.  If the government imposes restrictions on peoples' movements, as happened in January 2021, we may not be able to run the collection at all.  In the event of us being unable to complete the collection of your tree due to circumstances beyond our control, we would ask you to consider letting us retain your payment as a donation to the scout group.  If requested, we will refund your payment.
